Practice

Sherriff Tiplady Associates is a quantity surveying practice based in Cambridge.

Whilst based in Cambridge, the practice does not restrict its activities exclusively to that
area and has worked as far afield as Wales and Scotland. The practice intends to remain
compact in size, believing that direct lines of communication are essential.

Our range of experience is from housing, both private and social, to industrial, commercial
and leisure with a range of clients from the public and private sector including local
authorities, health trusts and educational bodies.  As you would expect from a Cambridge
based practice much of our work has been on historic and listed buildings as well as high
quality bespoke buildings for both private and public clients.

 

Most recently projects have tended towards those of a domestic nature ranging from £100,000 to £5,000,000+, many of which involve refurbishment and restoration of historic elements; conservation works to listed buildings or others with traditional materials and construction methods, as well as those requiring public and other funding for charitable and social causes.

 

The compact nature of the organisation ensures that the two directors are familiar with each project and are kept abreast of the current situation as the project progresses. We aim to offer a positive input to any design team situation with flexibility and a completely professional approach.
